Papri Chaat Latkes
Ingredients:
- 1 bag of frozen hashbrowns 
- 1 egg 
- ½ cup all purpose flour 
- 1 tsp salt 
- 1 tsp black pepper 
- 1 can garbanzo beans 
- 1 tomato, diced 
- 1 red onion, diced 
- 2 tbsp chopped cilantro 
- 2 chopped green chillies 
- 1 tbsp chaat masala 
- yogurt 
- cilantro chutney 
- tamarind chutney 
 
Instructions:
- Add a bag of frozen hashbrowns to a mixing bowl. 
- Then add an egg, salt, and black pepper to the bowl, and mix until the potatoes are evenly coated in the egg and flour. 
- Use a cookie scoop to form the potatoes into round balls, and then flatten into ½ inch rounds. 
- On medium to high heat, add oil to a skillet, and put your flattened potatoes on the skillet. 
- Cook for a few minutes on each side until golden brown and the potato is cooked through. 
- Transfer to a plated lined with paper towels to soak up any excess oil. 
- Rinse and drain a can of garbanzo beans and add them to a mixing bowl. 
- Add tomatoes, onions, green chillies, and chaat masala to the mixing bowl, and mix together. 
- When the potatoes have cooled slightly, add a dollop of plain yogurt on each one, drizzle some cilantro chutney, top with the garbanzo beans mixture, and finish with a drizzle of tamarind chutney.
